＜Position Summary＞
A successful Japanese Beverage Specialist will be passionate and knowledgeable about the alcoholic beverages industry and/or Japanese sake, shochu, craft beers or craft spirits. They will maintain a comprehensive catalog of knowledge of the company’s brands as well as competitor brands, will be an effective communicator, fastidious with follow-up, and mindful of the thoughts and needs of their customers and coworkers. They are tasked year over year sales growth in the company’s alcoholic beverages category.
＜Essential Job Functions＞
1. Serves as primary point of contact for all aspects of business with assigned accounts or regions. Supports assigned customers in any aspects of business necessary. Works to further develop assigned markets by growing market share with core accounts and opening/seeking out new targets and business opportunities both independently and as directed. Submit reports on activities as directed by management and submit monthly expense reimbursements by or before outlined deadlines.
2. Plan and execute events, promotions, and company/customer education opportunities as necessary to accomplish personal work goals and to increase company beverage sales both inside the specialist’s accounts of direct responsibility, and of the alcoholic beverage portfolio overall. Maintain and improve relationships with vendors and create plans and programs to ensure the success of their products in the market, and helps to monitor growth and/or lack thereof of assigned elements of the company’s alcoholic beverage portfolio, and assist the purchasing department in portfolio management
