★ Fluency in Japanese (both written and spoken) is highly preferred, as you will be working with hardware- and software teams based in Japan.
＜Responsibilities:＞
• Design, develop, and maintain printer drivers and software development kits (SDKs) for integrating our ID card printers with leading physical access control, financial, and government identification software platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of printer drivers with devices.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues related to printing systems.
• Work closely with the product- and sales teams to understand customer needs and incorporate feedback into software solutions.
• Document code, technical specifications, and release notes.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and best practices.
• Provide technical support for clients and internal teams regarding printer drivers and SDK integration.
• Collaborate with international teams, especially in Japan, to ensure compatibility and quality across multiple regions.
＜Qualifications:＞
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Demonstrable skills in software development, with a strong focus on printer drivers and SDKs.
• Proficiency in C++ or similar languages commonly used for printer driver development.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, or Linux driver development.
• Knowledge of the printing industry standards (e.g., PCL, PostScript, or ESC/P).
• Familiarity with SDK development, APIs, and integration techniques.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
