◆Job Title: Assistant Manger / Manager, Accounting Department
◆Annual Compensation: up to $65,000/Yr
◆Job Type: Full-time
◆Duties & Responsibilities:
• Recording the general ledger including A/R, A/P, and cash flow transactions
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports for director and upper management timely and efficiently
• Ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established internal accounting principles
• Assisting in developing annual budgets, reconciliation of periodical financial results against budgets and forecasts
• Assisting with billing and tax documentation preparation
• Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records
• Maintaining good relationships with accounting firm who provides professional advice and audit service
◆Requirements & Technical Skills:
• Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); knowledge of statutory accounting principles; federal & state tax filings and compliance requirements
• A demonstrated history of success in developing process and achieving project/task deadlines
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Intermediate or higher knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting
computer applications. Experience with Sage-intacct application is preferred.
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• Good proficiency in both written and oral English and Japanese
◆Educational / Experience Requirements:
• Associate degree or higher in Accounting field or equivalent from an accredited university
Or
• Minimum of 3 years progressively responsible experience in private and/or public accounting
