Web Marketing Manager (Japanese Speaking)

◆ Salary: DOE  (up tp $100K/Yr)

◆   Essential Job Functions

Ensures that the following tasks are performed effectively and efficiently by subordinates, vendors or personally:
Manages projects related to design, functionality and performance of the organization’s web properties.
Builds relationships with colleagues across the organization necessary for ensuring collaborative development of web features and functionality, in coordination with Marketing Strategists.
Provides technical solutions and support to the internal and external teams on all projects related to website design, functionality and usability; digital campaign strategy; and electronic communications including HTML email and corporate intranet pages.
Manages the analytics for all web properties; makes strategic recommendations based on analysis of the data; benchmarks against marketing and organizational goals.
Works closely with internal and external web developers to facilitate improvements to site functionality and back-end development needs.
Develops and implements strategies for SEO; responsible for overall digital marketing strategy and digital platform management.
Stays current with web technologies and recommends strategies for improving web traffic, including integration with other digital platforms.
Deploys technology and page architecture that is intuitive and highly responsive, search engine optimized (SEO), and can track registered visitors providing relevant analytical data back via reports.
Manages internal contractors, 3rd party agencies, and resources to augment support and bandwidth or to deliver on web and digital marketing requirements. Develops and execute on project plans.
Utilizes Google analytics and web reporting tools to monitor, track and analyze marketing campaign, website, social channel metrics and usability trends.

◆  Management & Supervisory
Monitors and reviews employees’ work activities through individual meetings, departmental and group meetings to ensure that all activities are proceeding smoothly as planned.
Sets individual performance goals in accordance with the established departmental sales goals, communicates expectations, monitors and correct employee performance if necessary.
Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, discount rates, products and services offered.
Directs and/or coordinates job activities by establishing and assigning tasks, accounts, territories, quotas, and goals to staff members or other team members.
Meets with key clients or business partners, assisting staff members with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals, terms and conditions.
Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
Determines customer viability and potential sales or customer needs, and areas of proposed client base expansion, and past due accounts reports.
Motivates, develops and mentors employees for improved job performance.
Controls and approves employees’ time off schedules and overtime work, if necessary.
Conducts hiring interviews, performance reviews, and disciplinary meetings and makes departmental personnel decision, if necessary, through consultation of the Human Resources department.
Follows company policies and procedures regarding management duties.
Communicates with departmental staff regarding the Company’s corporate philosophy “The JTB Way,” corporate compliance standards, the JTB Group Codes of Conduct, and other business practices.
Reports to, communicates and consults with upper management as required. Prepares written reports, as necessary.

◆  Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Education & Work Experience
Candidates must posess the following knowledge, skills, education & work experience:
Bilingual in Japanese and English (business level).
BA required – Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related degree
5-7 years of work experience in a corporate marketing/communications hands-on responsibility for the management of digital media and a supervisory role over technical staff.
Proven experience using a content management system; significant experience with HTML 4/5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, XML, and responsive design.
Knowledge of back-end programming and frameworks such as PHP, SQL, Coldfusion, .NET is helpful but not required.
Experience in the design and development of websites and digital marketing strategies, with an emphasis on SEO, SNS and analytics.
Knowledge with marketing strategy and the ability to offer web solutions that support marketing goals and objectives.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with a proactive approach and a highly responsive work style.
Experience with backed databases – SQL and MySQL
Experience with Google Analytics, MVC, Web Services, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
